The Proud Taino "WARRIOR MAN"

Excerpted from: "The Book of 8 Million Tears"

By: Chief Peter Guanikeyu Torres

LOOK in the TUREY?

UP In the blue sky!

Its a SCREAMING Eagle!

Its a Red Tailed Guaraguao !

Its a Jet plain with TALONS !

No its a PROUD WARRIOR Man!

8 MILLION DID NOT SURVIVE !
A PROUD TAINO WARRIOR MAN !

With SAD memories of his people

Deep within his sorrowed mind!

His Taino thoughts echoed loudly!

My people were here long before

The others set their sails to the

Wind!

8 MILLION DID NOT SURVIVE!
MEMORIES of Our Sacred Cacique

OROCOBIX

With a tear drop in his

Left Eye!

Would have even made

Humble Chief Joseph cry !

8 MILLION DID NOT SURVIVE!
MEMORIES of SPANISH bloody

WHIPS upon our BLEEDING BACKS !

Iron Chains upon our bleeding Legs!

Woe for those WHO withstood the
500 years of brainWASHING of the
Foul SPANISH GUAMIKENA Man !

8 MILLION DID NOT SURVIVE!
Hey Taino boy!

You are extinct!

Hmmm ! says Proud Taino Warrior.
Just another little White GUAMIKENA Lie!

Hey GUAMIKENA Spanish Man!

We are still here, so open your EYES !

We TAINO WARRIORS are very much alive !

8 MILLION DID NOT SURVIVE!
You RAPED our Grandmothers !

You MURDERED our Children !

You KILLED our Sacred Elders !

You REMOVED us from reality !

You FALSELY made us EXTINCT !

You TRIED in vain to WIPE us out !

You RAPED our brown Daughters !

Yet WE as a PEOPLE did SURVIVE !

8 MILLION DID NOT SURVIVE!
NOW Open your MABOYA Eyes!

LOOK In the Turey the blue Sky!

Its a TAINO JIBARO WARRIOR,
With a MACHETE in his hand !

For 500 years as we stood by
Forced to hear your DAMN lies!

Now WE are coming to get you !

We are the Children who cry!

8 MILLION DID NOT SURVIVE!

"One day, when I finally ride the wonderful canoe through the turey
(sky) to far away Coabey and I am dead, hang my bones high in a sacred
calabash like that of Yayael and spread my ashes in the Sacred Circle
of truth at Caguanas.

Always know that I will dwell in this sacred place with my great-grandfather,
Orocobix, to counsel you. In times of sorrow and despair, call to my
Toa-Toa. I will surely hear you in Coabey"

I dedicate this page to my true and good friend
